شرح تعريف Dogleg and Key seating
لكى نتعرف على خاصيه key seating وهى مشكله تحدث اثناء الحفر لابد من معرفه مفهوم Dogleg وهذا المفهوم ايضا من الاسباب الاساسيه فى مشاكل الحفر والذى يسبب مشكله Key seating
Dog-leg
The term refers to a section of the hole that changes direction faster than anticipated or desired
usually with harmful side effects

Occurs as sudden changes in hole inclination and /or direction in deviated wells
Higher doglegs may create problems, such as key seating or damage to the drill string
فى عمليه الحفر الاتجاهى لابد ان يقوم الحفار فى حاله ماذا كان البئر موجه الى توجيه عمود الحفر بزاويه معينه ويقوم الحفار ببناء هذه الزاويه عند نقطه kick-off
وهذا النقطه( kick-off)
The kickoff point is the location at a given depth below the surface where the wellbore
is deviated in a given direction

The depth in a vertical hole at which a deviated hole is started
يعنى هى اخر نقطه فى الحفر العمودى التى يقوم عندها الحفار ببناء زاويه لتحويل الحفر العمودى الى حفر موجه
ولكن هذه الزاويه لابد ان يعمل الحفار على بنائها بزاويه صغيره جدا ولكن ماقد يسبب مشكله dogleg هذه ان الحفار لايراعى
اخذ هذه الزاويه ويقوم بعمل انحراف مفاجى من الحاله العموديه الى الحاله الافقيه
ونتيجه لهذه العمليه تحدث المشكله التى تسبب فى بعض الاحيان عدم استكمال عمليه الحفر وهى Key seating
Key-seating can only be formed if the formation drilled is soft and the hanging weight below the dogleg is large enough to create a substantially lateral force
?How can i know this problem
The problem of key-seating can be diagnosed when the drill-string can be moved downwards but not upwards
بنتعرف على هذه المشكله عندما يكون عمود الحفر له القدره على ان يتحرك داخل التكوين الصخر formation الى اسفل لكن امكانيه التحرك لااعلى غير ممكنه الحدوث
? What should you do for this situation
Because the drill string gets stuck while moving up, jar down with maximum trip load must be applied. Torque while jarring down can be applied as well.
Bring the rotation at slow speed and attempt to ream back with small over pull into the key seat areas
To remove key seating the hole should be renamed and if ajar is used, an upward jarring action should be applied
Organic fluids can be spotted to reduce friction around the key-seat
Key-seating can be prevented by drilling straight holes or avoiding sudden changes in hole inclination
